Daniel Bennett Junior Trophy
This year the DBDF junior trophy for the most aggressive rider at the Goldstars Junior Carnival was Nick Murphy. Although Nick didn't win a race his efforts didn't go unnoticed.
2009 Scholarships
The committee this year decided to award two Scholarships. Through the support of the local cycling community the fund was in a position to offer Jesse Kerrison and Emily Roper scholarships of $1500 each to go toward race and travel expenses
Four Riders receive assistance
with outstanding performances at the recent state junior track titles 3 local riders have gained selection to compete in Sydney at the national championships. Jesse Kerrison, Emily Roper and Brendon Hill. Jesse and Emily both broke state records during their state titles campaign. The fund will also assist Natalie Eat from the Balmoral Club.

Daniel Bennett Memorial Race. The race eventually went ahead on the rescheduled day of 6th January. Numbers were great throughout all divisions. The Daniel Bennett Memorial Race was won by European based Pro rider Matthew Hayman. Matthew generously donated his prizemoney to the Fund. Chris Murphy named 2008 Scholarship Winner. Today we named Chris Murphy as the winner of the 2008 Daniel Bennett Development Fund Gold Scholarship. Chris was a worthy recipient not only for his talent on the bike but also for the way he conducts himself off the bike. Check out his profile click here
